Chicago Street Fashion - Koko and Ashley Drapes

Ashley Scott and Kortnee Quiza (or Koko as she is affectionately known) are without a doubt the most chic friends I have, or probably will ever have. Crazy high praise for crazy cool girls. I bumped into them randomly at the Green Fest in Wicker Park last weekend where Dinosaur Junior was headlining.

Koko runs 7th Market Agency and is a documentarian. Ashely Scott is the fabulous mind and eye behind Drapes. A fantastic accessories line based here in Chicago.

Um, how cute are these Mickey Mouse bandaids?! Koko took a spill last week and scraped up her knee, but as can see here, even her first aid is fly.

Ashley Scott wearing a necklace of her own design. Check out the rest of her line here.

Radical Band Alert - White Mystery

Brother and sister duo Alex and Francis White have been making music together for most of their lives, however their current band White Mystery was born several years ago and is named after themselves (duh.) and the surprise flavor of Air Heads Candy.

How badass do Alex and Francis look here? That hair, double wowza! I ran into them at the Do312 anniversary party at Double Door this past week. They agreed to come out on the street with me for some street style, and then we went back in and shook our money makers to this AMAZING and insane band called Nicky Da B.

Francis Scott Key White took his Webelos Boy Scout duties VERY VERY seriously. These are all his hard earned badges. Also, yes that is a Willie Nelson button he is wearing.

A real cobra belt is essential for any drummer that truly wants to rock.

Not only is Miss Alex White one hot tamale, this girl can SING. Check out the video below of her and Francis performing Powerglove. She sounds like a punk version of Grace Slick.

White Mystery tour like crazy, but you can catch them back in Chicago at the beginning of August at the Empty Bottle with Shonen Knife and at Riot Fest in September. Can't wait that long to experience the awesomeness? Go buy their albums here

Chicago Street Fashion - Ms. Bonnie May

I spotted Bonnie May as she was sauntering down Chicago Avenue in the Gold Coast this weekend. I almost killed myself running across the street in traffic to catch her, lookin' like the love child of Grace Jones and Nicki Minaj. Also, she should be the only person allowed to wear these pants from American Apparel.

Taylor hopped up onto this ledge like a pro in her heels.

Love this Chanel cuff from What Goes Around Comes Around and Fleet Ilya belt
Cute shoes from DV by Dolce Vita

Chicago Street Fashion - Cameron Welch

Cameron Welch is a Barrista at Heritage Bicycles General Store. Yes that's right, a bike shop that serves coffee. And not just any old brew, it's Stumptown Coffee people, straight outta Portland OR. The shop is located at 2959 North Lincoln Avenue in Roscoe Village and has a cute outdoor patio where I spotted Cameron just chillin' in this turban like it was no big thang.

I think we can all agree Cameron looks amazing here.  I'm in love with his tribal print and orange/grey color scheme.

What do you suppose Malcolm X is thinking about right now? Probably something HEAVY, or maybe he's wondering why he isn't sporting an amazing turban too.

I'm a sucker for a man in gemstones. Lovin' these rings.

If you haven't already discovered the dopeness that is Heritage Bicycles General Store, go immediately. Get a tune up, have an Americano and order something delicious off the sandwich menu. They also carry all kinds of stylish bike accessories AND really cool clothes, including jackets by Chicago's very own Max Wastler of All Plaidout and Buckshot Sonny's.

Chicago Street Fashion - Karen Dethrose

It's a beautiful summer day here in Chicago, so I thought I  would regale you with a couple of pictures of one of the coolest (and prettiest) vintage dealers in the city. It's Karen Dethrose, of Dethrose Vintage. She does vintage/punk/ glam like no other.

These photos were taken at the fabulous Randolph Street Market, where Karen was selling her fine wares. Can't wait till the next one at the end of this month.

Chicago Street Fashion - Avec Bianca

So many cool fashion bloggers, so little time! Bianca DeBardelaben is the woman behind the refreshing and highly entertaining Avant Blargh A self described "unconventional" personal style blogger, her ability to communicate her wit, charm and cool through her clothing, photography and writing is remarkable. I snapped these photos at the Randolph Street Market where she was selling her wares in an impromptu pop up shop. Take a look at the delightful lady bug skirt I got from her shop.

Ok now let's talk about the clothes! I love Bianca's easy breezy tribal outfit with the african print dress and cheeky cheetah buckle shoes. Also those circular frames are fabulous on her lil punam.
