Join me this Wednesday at the Madewell store at 932 N. Rush Street from 6-8 for a Lollapalooza party! With so many after-shows, private concerts and pool parties to attend, not to mention the actual festival itself we're all in need of an addition or two to our closets. And there's no better place to stock up on essential festival wear than Madewell. There will be champagne, sweet treats and a special shopping code just for us. Also, dress to impress (as per usual) and be included in the Tres Awesome round up right here on the blog.

Pitchfork Music Festival 2014 Style - Part 2

Well the sun has set on another Pitchfork Music Festival, but we'll always have the memories and of course the pictures!

Got the chance to hang out with this babe yesterday afternoon. Lynette Astaire looks incredible here in her mary jane print suit and straw hat from Mexico.

Mateo looks rad in his mixed metals and flat brim cap.

Giorgio Moroder (aka as the godfather of electronic dance music) tore it up and got the party started on Friday night before Beck.

Sasha Hodges is part owner of the coolest vintage shop in town Kokorokoko. She wins the award for best shorts of the fest.

Pitchfork's creative director Michael Renaud looks rad in this hat they designed.

The Dum Dum Girls played a great set on Sunday.

Isa Giallorenzo of the cool street style blog Chicago Looks is doing it right here in this rad Led Zepplin T-shirt and black flower crown.

Tuneyards was definitely one of my favorite performances of the entire festival, as you can see from the above photos shit got weird :)

Even though Pusha-Ts set started way late, he made it count with a strong but short perfomance.

Claire Molitor looks beautiful here in shades of blue, a radical geometric bolo tie, & big round sunnies.

Hundred Waters was the very first act of the fest on Friday and they were SO good. It was great to meet the lead singer, Nicole Miglis back stage and snap her portrait.

And last but not last least, this fine gentleman rocking out in his sisters blouse and a modified pair of Sungalsses.

Pitchfork Music Festival 2014 Style - Part 1

People really brought they're sartorial A-Game to the 2014 Pitchfork Music Festival. There is still one more day to shoot, but thse looks are so hot I thought I would put them up today. Enjoy and check back tomorrow for more style from the fest!

Stylist Whitney Middleton Gruber looks amazing here with her blue hair, black and white ensemble and Jeff Koons x H&M Balloon Dog Purse.

Kristin Kaza of No Small Plans Productions looks amazing here in this vintage Kaftan.
Ethos looks perfect here in this far east hippie inspired outfit.

Alexis Nido-Russo of Local Ecletic looks fly in this Miranda Bennett dress and Shikama necklace

Hearts, rainbows and mythical creatures! This outfit has all kinds of magic happening, perhaps most importantly this rad Unicorn clutch from Alice and Olivia

Love me some Britt Julious! She looks super fly here in this multi-textured black and white affair.

Jackie Trezzo is keeping it real in big black sunnies and this chic black get up.

Pitchfork Music Festival - BECK

Beck took the stage at Pitchfork Music Festival 2014 and utterly killed it. Dress in Saint Laurent and looking boyish for his 44 years he played through the classics from his more than 10 year catalog.

He got the party started with a number of his dance classic/festival friendly jams , like"Devil's Haircut" off of Odelay to his original hit "Loser" off of Mellow Gold. He also deliciously played a cover of Donna Summer's "I feel Love" which Giorgio Moroder (who played right before him) produced. He played "Get Real Paid" AND "Debra" from my favorite Beck album Midnight Vultures. All in all it was a pretty amazing way to kick off the Pitchfork Festival Weekend.

Pitchfork Music Festival 2014 Style Inspiration

It's that time of year again! The Pitchfork Music Festival is this weekend (July 18-20) and we will be there all weekend capturing the best style of the fest. To get you in the mood I'm posting some MAJOR style inspiration from years past.

Wear a festive hat like Mel Muoio.

Showcase a coloful accessory with an all-white ensemble.

Reflect the festival and city in your shades and DEFINITELY wear a dashiki.

Make the 90s jealous and wear overalls with only one strap!

Go for shades of grey with one pop of bright color like designer Azeeza Desai.

Be ferocious AND sweet like Mackenzie Nielsen in her Givenchy Dog T-shirt and flower crown.

Wear a million different textures like Meagan Fredette of the blog Latter Style

Match your lipstick to your dress like designer Ashley Scott of DRAPES.

Rock some HUGE sunglasses like Luis Torres of Chic Overload.

Wear an amazing onsie like Romah J Shah.

Button up and go floral like this gentleman.

I don't know about you, but I'm throughly excited now! Between the fashion spotting and the great line up Pitchfok 2014 is going to be the best ever.

Aqua Summer at the Radisson Blu

Last week I got to attend a pretty spectacular party thrown at my very favorite building, Aqua Tower which was designed by Jeanne Gang. The tower has the distinction of being the tallest building designed by a woman, but I think it should just be known as the RADDEST building designed by anyone :)

The fete was hosted by my pals Jena Gamabacini, Ryan Beshel and Azeeza Desai and was held on the pool deck of the Radisson Blu which occupies the bottom half of the skyscraper.

Brikena looks BEAUTIFUL here in this white and black ensemble that in some ways echoes the
Aqua Tower.
Jena Gambaccini of the blog Chicity Fashion looks lovely here in Azeeza. ALSO LOVE the Azeeza Illinois state T-shirt, SO COOL.

Azeeza looks beautiful here in her leather shorts and mega feather kicks.

Jennifer Worman and the T+J Designs crew were in the house.

Eva Daiberl of the blog Miss Renaissance is killing it in this skirt and Swathi Narra of Luxemi looks beauitful in that amazing ruffled top.

Photographers flock together! Three great shooters,  Daniel Keleghan, Kyle Le Mere (who has contributed some amazing Ethiopian street style in the past on thie site)  and Lynette Astaire

DJ Matt Roan ripped it up on the ones and twos all night.

Amelia Eaton of the blog CHICago Life Blog looks beautiful here in this pleated maxi dress.

Between the fabulous company and architecture it couldn't have been a better evening.
