The Best of 2013 - Part 2

Today is the last day of 2013, a year that has been SO stylish there are WAY too many images for just one "best of"  post so here is the second installment of the creme de la creme, starting with the epitome of cool Alexa Chung at SXSW back in March.

This woman's French vintage jacket is too fabulous.

Jared Hatch is looking dapper outside The School of the Art Institute of Chicago Fashion Show.

Leigh Lezark is literally killing it in this Machine Gun Jeremy Scott number outside his show at New York Fashion Week.

Gorgeous Whitney Middleton Gruber looks lovely in this peach confection at a private event held at the Art Institute for the show Impressionism Fashion and Modernity.

I snapped this photo of the lovely Jena Gambacini of ChiCityFashion outside of New York Fashion week in this cool blue ensemble.

Waist length lavendar hair turns out to be the perfect thing to wear to Lollapalooza.

Sean Krista of the site Shop Around Chicago look glam in this chic chapeau.

Advertising creative Pippa White looks amazing here in this floral jump suit outside of Nellcote.

One of my fave fashion ladies about town Meagan Fredette looks incredible in this modified prom dress at Pitchfork Music Festival.

These Tom Ford gold gladiator boots pretty much made my milenium when Anna Della Russo sauntered by in them at New York Fashion Week.

Alex White of the radical band White Mystery always looks fly with her shock of red hair. Add a mariachi jacket and I'm in love :)

Graham Kostic looked too adorable not to snap during the Phillip Lim for Target shoot that Glossed and Found curated.

As I mentioned before 2013 was so impeccably stylish that there are three parts to this series. Check out Part one here and look for part there in 2014!!!!

Love this shot I got of Mira Duma outside the shows at New York Fashion Week.

Roma Shah sizzles in Saint Laurent.

Jessica Moazami of the cool blog Addictions of a Fashion Junkie looks fabulous at New York Fashion Week.

Here's the frenzy of street style photographers doing there thing with Carine Roitfeld at New York Fashion Week.

This is actually one of my favorite photos I've ever taken in 2013 and beyond! It's the uber cool couple Kristen Kaza and Molly J. Nye at a party for the premiere of Mad Men last season.

And last but definitely not least is this fine young gentleman just looking marvelous outside the shows at Lincoln Center durning Fashion Week.

Look for Part 2 and 3 of The Best of 2013 in the upcoming week on Très Awesome!

Baby Time With Adeline

Although I never made a formal announcement on the blog, many of you know from the social medias that I've been pregnant over the last nine months eight months. Adeline Alexis made a surprise appearance almost a month early on 12.13.13 (Friday the 13th is our new lucky day!) These are pictures we took in the hospital.

My mother tells stories about the hellion that I was (I was kicked out of the nursery at the hospital because I made all the other babies cry) so I was very prepared to start paying some sort of karmic debt with a constantly screaming baby. However, Adeline could not have a sweeter temperament -- she pretty much just eats and sleeps and looks cute.

It's a wonderful time for us as the holidays approach. We could not have dreamed of a better Christmas present!

Ryan - Saks Fifth Avenue The Fifth Man

Ryan looks amazing in this Kenzo Wool Jacket and White Nike High Tops. I took his picture as part of the collaboration I did with Saks Fifth Avenue Chicago for the new department #TheFifthMan opening in January.

12/5/13

Corri McFadden

I caught Corri McFadden outside her E-Drop Holiday Luncheon. She looks pretty incredible in these Christian Siriano kicks straight off the runway.

LOVING this Cynthia Rowley Censored T-shirt. Très Chic.

Also, in case you haven't hear, there's a new E-Drop Off in the Gold Coast, go pay them a visit them at 1201 N. Clark St. Chicago.

Phillip - Saks Fifth Avenue The Fifth Man

I recently collaborated with Saks Fifth Avenue on a shoot with some of Chicago's most stylish men, however I couldn't help but pull out some of the amazing looking men who were working in the store that day. Exhibit A is Phillip looking dapper and layered in this sport coat and sweater.

This fabulous ring is an ancient roman coin. So cool!

Look for the #TheFifthMan department opening next month at Saks Fifth Avenue on the Magnificent Mile.

My dear friend Ryan Beshel is the Digital Marketing Lead at Purely Fashion, he also happens to be a stone cold fox ;)

This just goes to show that Converse Chuck Taylors literally go with everything.

The Fifth Man - Saks Fifth Avenue

Last week I had the pleasure of capturing some of Chicago's most stylish men for Saks Fifth Avenue to celebrate the launch of their new department The Fifth Man at their flagship location on the Magnificent Mile on Michigan Avenue.

First up is Lonnie Rodriguez is a partner in Genuine Chicago and also appears in the upcoming Bravo Series 100 Days of Summer.

Ernest Wilkins is a writer for The Red Eye and the founder of November of Dressing Nicely. Now it's fourth year, it's part challenge to sometimes complacent Chicagoans to get their sartorial act together and best dressed contest.

Ernest is certainly living up to his own challenge, he looks incredible here in this Moncler vest and Jack Spade bag.

Vince Anzalone is looking FRESH in this Burberry jacket and Hudson Jeans. He is a co-founder in the company Genuine Chicago and also stars in the upcoming Bravo reality series 100 Days of Summer.

His French Bull Dog "Dude" also looks MEGA FLY in his 'lil bowtie.

Phil Tadros is the man behind Doejo and Bowtruss Coffee. He looks super cool here in a Marc by Marc Jacobs varsity jacket and Hudson Jeans.

Also how amazing are these Alexander McQueen Boots?! Answer: VERY.

Last but certainly not least is James Goeke, dashing man about town. This whole ensemble slays me.  Everything from the expertly mixed pattern and texture to the gold pocket chain.

Let's go in for a closer look shall we? You can never have too much Alexander McQueen.

So much style, so little time ;) Look for the #TheFifthMan department opening next month at Saks Fifth Avenue on the Magnificent Mile.

Designer Azeeza Khan

Winter fashion and all it's delights are upon us here in Chicago as demonstrated by the lovely and talented Azeeza Khan, designer behind the eponymous label AZEEZA.

Usually I catch Ms. Azeeza wearing ball gowns or draped in sequins, but this look is decidedly more down to earth, if you consider Chanel, gold shoes and fur an everyday look :)

Love these liquid gold Nike Air shoes. Super cool.

Eva Daiberl - Miss Renaissance

Eva Daiberl of the fantastic blog Miss Renaissance looks stunning here in this Isabel Marant western inspired dress (Fall 2012 RTW)

However, her Celine calf hair ankle boots. They are real shape shifters, each variation in light brings out some other glorious aspect of them. I love how they are midnight blue in this photo.

Also as I've mentioned before on this blog, not only is eva a to-die-for fashion babe she is also a pastry chef (Will you marry me?!?!). Check out her newly redesigned site for gorgeously illustrated recipes and DIY projects like this little homemade Almond Joy recipe she just whipped up the other day.
