Mira Duma

I just found this photo of style icon Mira Duma laying around and thought I should put it up so everyone could enjoy the fabulousness. Oh, also Happy Halloween!

The Perfect Shaggy Sweater

This past Sunday was the first truly chilly day in Chicago so far this Fall. What better time to bust out this fabulous furry sweater.

It's pretty obvious, but I just want to let you know that this look was captured in Wicker Park ;)

We Won an Award!

The people have spoken and Très Awesome has been voted "Best Fashion Blog" in Chicago in the Time Out Chicago Shopping Awards! As someone that never wins ANYTHING I could not be more thrilled. I was up against some of my favorite sites like The Midwestyle and The Midwasteland also in the category was Anna Jane of the adorable personal style blog See Jane and The Beauty Girl. So big thanks to everyone who voted.

This photo (taken by the lovely and talented Martha Williams) appeared along the little article about me and my blog. Go have a look at it online.

Also, speaking of great blogs, in addition to being a staff photographer at Time Out Chicago Martha Williams is a fellow street fashion photographer who focuses on bicycle style. Go take a look at her great blog Bike Fancy.

Shanti Clark of Very Best Vintage

Shanti Clark is the owner of one of my favorite vintage shops in Chicago, the very cool Very Best Vintage in the Ukranian Village. She looks beautiful here in this double polka dot ensemble.

Loving this bakelite bracelet stack.

Shanti's bob is so luxurious even Anna Wintour herself would be jelly. Also loving her candy corn-esque pin.

If you are in Chicago, pay this lil lady a visit at Very Best Vintage 1919 West Chicago Avenue. Also for all you non-Chicagoans they have an Etsy shop just for you!

Magnificent Peasant Blouse

I'm using the word peasant VERY loosely here. This woman has obviously never done a day of back breaking labor in her entire life. However, speaking of hard labor, the workmanship on this garment is just lovely. Hoping it was made by adults with health insurance, but let's face it, it's the type of thing that was probably constructed by the nimble fingers of a child.

So, I caught up with this non-peasant personage during New York Fashion week. I have to give thanks to Eddie Newton for getting her to stand still for a minute or two while we both snapped away. If you are not already familiar, clickety clack over to his site, aptly titled Mr. Newton.  He's one of the best street style photographers around.

Chiara Ferragni of The Blonde Salad

Chiara Ferragni of The Blonde Salad is a mega-popular Italian style blogger who most recently has made a foray into shoe design. I caught up with her at New York Fashion Week last month looking very Roy Lichtenstein.

I'm in love with the comic book theme she has going on.  It reminds me of the Instagram pic I posted the other day of  Jena Gambaccini of ChiCity Fashion at the Glossed and Found Decades pop up shop. Just goes to show great fashion minds think alike!

Come follow me on Instagram at @tresawesome so we can use cute emoji to comment on each other's photos.

Chicago Street Fashion - Jessi Sheehan

Jessi looks adorable here in this rad Alexander McQueen bodycon dress. I love how she's styled it with the gray tights and white shoes.

Flowing White Kimono

I took this photo at New York Fashion week back in September. A flowing robe with the wind's cooperation can be magical. Also loving this little lady's Alexander Wang ox blood bag. Très adorable.

Graham Kostic of Glossed & Found

I ran into the effervescent Graham Kostic of Glossed and Found at City Blue's Fall Fashion event a couple of weeks ago.  After watching last night's presidential debate for the Election come November 6 (if you haven't already, REGISTER TO VOTE NOW)  Mitt Romney's slightly robotic penchant for numerical lists rubbed off on me. So without further a do, here are three thoughts on these photos of Graham:

1. I need to get a trench coat immediately.
2. Buying customized jewelry from a stand at the mall is awesome.
3. This guy cannot take a bad picture.

Nicole Warne of Gary Pepper Vintage

Nicole Warne of Gary Pepper Vintage has one of the most beautiful personal style blogs around. It's just one gorgeous ensemble after another, shot masterfully in fabulous locales around the globe (holy superlative batman.) Also not sure who takes her pictures but they know what they're doing.

Nicole also has an online shop called Gary Pepper Vintage (natch) that she started in 2009. She carries sweet vintage pieces and some new items that are all super affordable. Like this cute cameo bracelet, which I'm thinking of snapping up.

Perhaps most importantly, this Patricia Chang dress with the beaded robots on it is kind of blowing my mind. So cool.

These photos were taken earlier this month at fashion week in New York
