Magnificent Peasant Blouse

I'm using the word peasant VERY loosely here. This woman has obviously never done a day of back breaking labor in her entire life. However, speaking of hard labor, the workmanship on this garment is just lovely. Hoping it was made by adults with health insurance, but let's face it, it's the type of thing that was probably constructed by the nimble fingers of a child.

So, I caught up with this non-peasant personage during New York Fashion week. I have to give thanks to Eddie Newton for getting her to stand still for a minute or two while we both snapped away. If you are not already familiar, clickety clack over to his site, aptly titled Mr. Newton.  He's one of the best street style photographers around.

WHOA. Making lighthearted comments on child labor isn't really nice, you know.

    1. Hey Louise,

Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to check out the post. I don't know the designer or means of production for this particular garment. My hope is that it was made using fair labor practices, it looks luxe so maybe this is the case. However as we all know in these cheap and chic times a lot of the things we buy we don't know how or by whom they are made. My comments are not meant to make fun of child labor, but to write about it in a funny way so I can discuss these issues on my blog while not sounding preachy and boring.

That being said, I really do appreciate the feedback. Thanks for that.

      xoxo

      Très Awesome
